THE HOWARD CLUB PRESENTS “AMERICAN SON”

 

The Howard Club of Southwest Florida, Inc. took immense pleasure in inviting over 200 members and friends to attend the theatrical production of ”American Son." Straight from Broadway... "American Son" takes place at a Florida police station in the middle of the night, where a black mother is engaged in a search for her missing teenage son.  This fund-raising event took place on February 16, 2020 at The Florida Studio Theater.  Immediately following the show was a Q&A.....discussing the crucial issues around racism, family relationships, loss and identity. The moderators were attorney Clarence Rogers, The Honorable Charles Williams, Circuit Court Judge and retired New York Police Commissioner, Mr. James Lawrence.
